The AAWR is proud to open its 2018 exhibition schedule with Core Functions, an inaugural show for two new Archived Artists, ceramicist Bette Drake and painter/printmaker Marvin Jones. Bette Drake, born in Cleveland in 1942, is a studio potter who makes functional work within the tradition of 20th century reduction fired stoneware. Marvin Jones (1940 – 2005) was a professor of art at CSU for over 20 years. His far-out & light-hearted work draws extensively on the California Funk Art movement.
