In this class, we will learn how to make paper in the Korean tradition in both one- and two-ply sheets using two different sheet formation techniques with fiber processed by hand. We will also transform hanji with joomchi and jiseung techniques, creating paper that behaves like fabric, thread, yarn and rope. Come prepared to work hard and leave with a bundle of varied papers and new methods to use them.
