Paper is a game changer in the world of printmaking. Color, thickness, texture, fiber, sizing and additives can all dramatically change the look of your print. In this five-day intensive, students will learn techniques for creating and printing drypoint plates. We will discuss the virtues of various papers and how they alter and inform the printing process. Chine collé and multiple-plate printing will be demonstrated and students will have the opportunity to test everything they have learned.
