An exhibition of abstract drawings by Northeast Ohio artist Erik Neff opens Friday, June 24, with a public reception from 6 to 9 p.m. in the spotlight gallery space at Heights Arts in Cleveland Heights. Working on a variety of surfaces such as plaster, wood, paper and slate, Erik creates a dialogue between the marks and shapes of an image through a "back and forth" process of scraping, gouging and applying pigments. His drawings will be on view through August 6.
