Cuyahoga County's arts and cultural assets are more vibrant and vital than ever. The residents of our county recognize the value of our arts and culture sector in strengthening our economy, transforming our neighborhoods and contributing to the education of our children. Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) is one of the largest regional public sector funding sources for arts and culture in the country. In 2008, CAC distributed $16 million in grant funding to arts and cultural organizations and projects in Cuyahoga County.

2009 Project Support Grant Awards Announced

The Board of Trustees of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture (CAC) has approved fifty-five awards totaling $825,695 for the 2009 cycle of its annual Project Support (PS) Grant program. The awards, which will support projects in locations throughout Cuyahoga County, range in value from $1,000 to $50,000. They were announced today during a meeting of the CAC board. To date, CAC has approved grants totaling $17.3 million this year bringing the total of approved funding to more than $33.5 million since CAC’s inception in April 2007.

Singing Angels

Singing Angels, founded in 1964, is dedicated to youth development through the highest level of artistic achievement in the performing arts. The Singing Angels operates two children's choruses: a Training chorus; and a Performing chorus that has traveled the world, visiting 31 countries on three continents as well as throughout the United States.

Singing Angels was awarded a $56,926 General Operating Support grant.
