The Cleveland Orchestra Celebrates 25 Years of Free Concerts at Public Square

Each year, the Cleveland Orchestra provides a birthday present to our nation -- and in particular to the Northeast Ohio community -- with a free concert at Public Square in honor of Independence Day. And each year, the planning for that concert begins the day after the previous year’s concert. CAC Receives Clean Audit for Seventh Consecutive Year

Ohio Auditor of State Finds No Deficiencies in CAC Financial Audit.

For the seventh year in a row, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s annual financial review by the Ohio Auditor of State has resulted in a clean audit report available on the Auditor of State’s website. For its fiscal year 2013, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) was awarded the highest rating and the Auditor of State Award, which includes no findings for “recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, Single Audit findings or questioned costs.” Each year since CAC was created by the voters of Cuyahoga County, it has achieved a clean audit report. Statement on status of Creative Workforce Fellowship grant to CPAC

Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) is the public agency charged with making grants to arts and culture organizations to help strengthen our community. All of CAC’s grant investments are made through a proposal process, whereby organizations are invited to submit proposals, which are then evaluated by CAC’s staff and/or independent grant panelists, and then, if appropriate, submitted to CAC’s board for approval.More...

National Endowment for the Arts

The President’s  current budget proposal eliminates funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. NEA has said that is “business as usual” until the proposed budget is finalized. 

Cuyahoga Arts & Culture has received a NEA grant to bring arts and culture to Public Square in Summer 2017, and that grant remains unchanged. We encourage you to learn more and submit ideas until March 29 at

Cuyahoga Arts & Culture Seeks Ideas for “Arts & Culture in the Square”

CLEVELAND (March 3, 2017) – Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) seeks ideas for Arts & Culture in the Square, a program to bring additional arts and culture programming to downtown Cleveland’s outdoor Public Square. With funding from National Endowment for the Arts and Group Plan Commission, and in partnership with LAND studio, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture will help bring new creative projects to Public Square from May to August 2017. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture Announces $14.5 Million in Grants to 241 Cuyahoga County Nonprofits to Support Thousands of Arts & Cultural Experiences in 2017

CLEVELAND (November 8, 2016) – Neighborhood Connections, the small-grants and grassroots community-building program affiliated with the Cleveland Foundation, has approved $200,269 in grants to support 72 projects throughout Cleveland and East Cleveland. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, the county’s public funder for arts and culture, will co-fund 26 of the resident-led arts and culture projects through a partnership with Neighborhood Connections. More...
