Charna E. Sherman Appointed to Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s Board of Trustees

CLEVELAND (September 22, 2015) – Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) announces that Charna E. Sherman has been appointed by County Executive Armond Budish to serve on CAC’s Board of Trustees. Ms. Sherman was appointed to a three-year term commencing April 1, 2015, and ending March 31, 2018.

“We are delighted that Charna Sherman will serve on CAC’s Board of Trustees,” said Joseph P. Gibbons, board president, of Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. “Her passion for the arts and her knowledge of the local community will be great assets to this board.”

A Cleveland native, Ms. Sherman is an accomplished trial lawyer specializing in complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Sherman replaces Sari Feldman, who served on Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s Board of Trustees from April 1, 2009 until Ms. Sherman’s appointment. CAC’s Board of Trustees recognized Sari’s leadership and years of service by passing a resolution of recognition at its April 2015 board meeting.

Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of five members who serve rotating three-year terms without compensation. Board members are appointed by the Cuyahoga County Executive and confirmed by Cuyahoga County Council. All meetings are open to the public, and members of the community are welcome to attend.
