Maya Curtis

As grants manager, Maya oversees a portfolio of organizations that receive CAC’s General Operating Support, Cultural Heritage, and Project Support grants. She works to build relationships with and provide technical assistance, guidance and support to grant recipients and applicants.

Maya was previously with The Cleveland Orchestra as the Manager of the Youth and Children's Choruses, where she managed multiple choruses that performed alongside The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance and Blossom Music Center. She has also worked as a fellow at the George Gund Foundation and served on the Covid-19 Rapid Response Fund and the AIDS Funding Collaborative. She has had the pleasure of working for multiple nonprofits in Cleveland, including Center for Arts-Inspired Learning, Groundworks Dance Theater, and Providence House. 

Maya holds a bachelor's degree in fashion business and a minor as a teaching artist from Columbia College Chicago. She graduated from The University of Akron with a master's in arts administration. Maya is a Cleveland-area native and lives with her family in the Larchmere neighborhood. When not at work, you can find her exploring parks with her puppy or teaching children's yoga!
