Community Invited to Observe Independent Panel Evaluate Grant Applications
CLEVELAND (September 29, 2014) – Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) invites members of the community to observe its Panel Review Meetings in October, during which arts and culture experts from around the country will evaluate the applications of 215 organizations based in Cuyahoga County who have applied for funding through its General Operating Support grant program in 2015-16 and Project Support grant program in 2015. “As the public funder for arts and culture in Cuyahoga County, CAC takes seriously its responsibility to ensure that applications to our grant programs are conducted in a manner that is transparent, impartial, and accessible to the public,” said Executive Director Karen Gahl-Mills. “We invite applicants and members of the community to observe these public Panel Review Meetings to watch our grantmaking process in action.”
On October 6-8, panelists will evaluate the 64 applications to CAC’s 2015-16 General Operating Support grant program. Panelists will evaluate the 151 applications to the 2015 Project Support grant program on October 20-23. All meetings are held at the Smith Studio of the Idea Center at PlayhouseSquare, 1375 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115. The final award amounts for the 2015-16 General Operating Support and 2015 Project Support grant programs will be announced at a meeting of CAC’s Board of Trustees on
Monday, November 24, at 4 p.m., at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Cleveland.
