Nancy Mendez Appointed to Cuyahoga Arts & Culture Board of Trustees

CLEVELAND (May 15, 2019)Nancy Mendez has been appointed by County Executive Armond Budish to serve on the Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) Board of Trustees.

Ms. Mendez, a Cleveland resident, is vice president of community impact for the United Way of Greater Cleveland. She has been appointed to a new term commencing April 1, 2019 and ending March 31, 2022. Ms. Mendez replaces Trustee Mark Avsec, whose three-year term expired on March 31, 2019.

“We are excited to welcome Nancy to our Board,” said Jill M. Paulsen, interim CEO + executive director of Cuyahoga Arts & Culture. “Nancy’s experience with and deep understanding of our community’s nonprofits, the local funding landscape, and the importance of equity will make our work stronger.”

Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of five members who serve rotating three-year terms without compensation. Board members are appointed by the Cuyahoga County Executive and confirmed by Cuyahoga County Council.
