Cuyahoga Arts & Culture's Board of Trustees
held a regular meeting on Wednesday, February 9. Here are key updates from the
public meeting, which took place at Cuyahoga County Public Library's South
Euclid-Lyndhurst branch and was streamed live on CAC's YouTube channel.
Board Update
The agency provided the
Board with a refresher on the basics of CAC’s grantmaking and offered a preview
of 2023 Project Support and Cultural Heritage program guidelines. There are no
major programmatic changes proposed to these programs; more information is
available in the board materials.
COVID Impact Update
Nearly 2 years in, the
ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact local nonprofit arts
organizations and creative workers.
65 Cuyahoga County-based
arts and culture nonprofits funded by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture report that
losses have slowed, but the sector still has significant gaps, stagnant growth

Other Business Assembly
for the Arts shared an update about its efforts, along with CAC, to advocate
for ARPA funding for the local creative economy.
