What to Expect: Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s November 13 Board Meeting

On Tuesday, November 13, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s Board of Trustees will announce 2019 grants at its regular board meeting at 4 p.m. at Judson Manor in Cleveland. Here’s what you can expect at the meeting:

General Operating Support and Project Support Grants Announced. November’s meeting is centered on celebrating our new and returning cultural partners. This year, CAC's Board will be asked to approve $12,077,556 in grants to 282 organizations through our 2019 General Operating Support ($10.2 million in operating support to 61 organizations) and 2019 Project Support grant programs ($1.87 million in project-based support to 221 organizations).

We look forward to celebrating all successful grant applicants. We are proud to work with so many organizations that make our community a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Support for Artists. The Board will vote to fund a slate of projects to support Cuyahoga County artists. The grants will be made to four nonprofit partners: Cleveland Public Theater, Hispanic Business Center, LAND studio, and SPACES. These partners will provide support and services in the form of professional development, project support, monetary support, and access to other resources, including space.

We anticipate two additional projects to be slated for approval in December through Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Karamu House. These projects are in response to feedback gathered from Cuyahoga County artists on how CAC can most effectively support artists.
