CLEVELAND (November 13, 2025) – For the 18th year, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) has earned a clean audit report with no material findings from the Ohio Auditor of State. Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s complete financial audit report is now available on the Auditor of State’s website. CAC also was named a recipient of the Auditor of State Award.

Each year since CAC was established, the independent public agency has earned a clean audit report. For CAC’s fiscal year 2024, the Ohio Auditor of State did not identify any deficiencies in internal control and found no instances of noncompliance or other matters that are required to be reported under Government Auditing Standards.

“Cuyahoga Arts & Culture remains committed to transparency and trust in all of our work,” said Jill Paulsen, CAC Executive Director. “We take seriously our commitment to be a responsible and equitable steward of public funds to arts and culture nonprofits of all sizes, and we are thankful for this recognition by the Auditor of State.”

As a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, CAC is required to undergo an annual audit, conducted by the Ohio Auditor of State, to verify that public funds are spent appropriately and lawfully.

CAC is Cuyahoga County’s largest source of consistent funding that is dedicated specifically to supporting a vibrant community of nonprofit arts and culture organizations. CAC focuses on supporting the nonprofit arts and culture community as a whole by focusing on equitable grant distributions that give arts and culture organizations of all sizes access to predictable, recurring funding.
