What to Expect: Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s December 11 Board Meeting

On Wednesday, December 11,  Cuyahoga Arts & Culture’s Board of Trustees will meet at 3:30 pm in the Brown Lab on the lower level at Idea Center, 1375 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115. Here’s what you can expect:

Executive Session: The business portion of the meeting will start after the Board finishes a brief executive session, which starts at 3:30 pm. The Board meets in executive session each December to discuss annual reviews of staff performance.

Budget: At the meeting, Trustees will be asked to approve the 2020 operating budget for CAC in the amount of $13,940,000. The majority of the 2020 budget is already committed to grants and grant programs approved by the Board at the November meeting.

Grants and Administrative Matters: The Board will also be asked to approve:
  • three grants to nonprofits to continue to provide funding and support to Cuyahoga County artists in 2020;
  • a grant to continue to support The Cleveland’s Orchestra’s downtown public summer concert;
  • two grants to continue funding resident-led arts and culture projects through Neighborhood Connections and ioby;
  • and other administrative matters.
Executive Director Search: The Board will provide a brief update on CAC’s Executive Director search.
